Perks of being a wallflower: A FairyTale
Perks of Being a WallFlower: A fairytale that makes you ask for more!!
Perks of Being a Wallflower is a beautiful dramatisation of everything that we see happening around our lives in the relationships in the modern era. Settling for less, abuse, fear, abandonment, deceit and yet the search and hanker for a true love where we can find the sukoon(comfort) keeps on going within ourselves.
The tinker of the eyes is different when we are with a person that we truly truly want, compared to someone we settle with. As the legends said, “Eyes are a true reflection of heart of a person”, this movie perfectly encapsulates this phrase.
When Sam looks at Charlie, it says a lot which perhaps the word wouldn’t or when Charlie in his loneliness used to look into people with a pause waiting and perhaps hoping for someone to hold up his hands, and fill the void created by the loss of his best friend.
Being a weird misfit is difficult and specially in a society which forces people to conform to a particular kind of behaviour and nature and if you can’t fit in, you can’t get it in.
Sam and Patrik, prove to a demigod for the protagonist of our story i.e. Charlie, who with the help of his sympathetic friend , tries to find his way in the societal construct of high school and helped him sail his boat while dealing with the traumatic experiences of life which left his scarred and seen on the outside as a personality disorder called as misfit by the world.
One of the most beautiful and my favourite thing about the movie is not its fairytale and not its sense of freedom that the character experienced in the tunnel despite the trauma of their life and childhood, it's how sam and Charlie communicated, even when they weren’t saying anything , how they wished to say it, couldn’t say it. How the eyes used to emote eveyrthing that a teenage Love ought to be emote to the audience.
It's a beautiful gratifying story that leaves you with a happy smile as an anecdote to the tough times of our life.
